About Murray company
The company, originally known as the Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company, was founded in Cleveland, Ohio by a visionary businessman named J. W. Murray to supply fenders, hoods, gas tanks and running boards for America’s fast-growing automobile industry.
Murray started the production of lawnmowers in the mid-60’s. Since then, those years were ones of unprecedented growth, spurred by the introduction of such breakthrough products as the first BMX bike series to stores nationwide in the mid-70’s; the first mass-market lawn tractors equipped with hydrostatic automatic drive in 1994; and the introduction of Rail Frame technology in their WideBody® Lawn Tractors in 1997.

Murray Riding Mowers offer rugged durability and confident reliability at a great price to help you get the job done.
From 12,5 horsepower and 38″ Cutting Deck up to 21 horsepower and 46″ Cutting Deck, these lawnmower products are available in order to provide customers with the best performance for every possible lawn type and size.
All Murray riding lawnmowers series have similarities in their gear engine features, they all have a 5-Speed transmission. What is the biggest difference? In stability they have different wheel turning radius starting with the 387002X92 series is 15″ front & 18″ rear wheels, 461004X92 serie is dual independent steering with 16″ front and 23″ rear wheels.
If the customers do not need too much horsepower and just a riding-on lawnmower, Murray offers them mid-engine riders in order to make the job easier and be profitable to a small to middle sized yard.
Walk-behind
With all the features you need to get the job done, the complete line of Murray walk-behind mowers are a great value to help maintain a great looking lawn. Murray provides three kinds of walk-behind lawnmowers.
Convertible Mulchers
All mowers in this line have a 22″ cut, and they go from 3,75 horsepower to 6,5. Also, depending on which product we choose, they are either converted into a 2in1 Mulcher by plugging in a mulcher plug or convert it to a rear bag. We can move on and select the way mulched leaves will come out from the mower. There is also a high wheel feature for better driving and stability.
Rear Bagger
They cut from 20″ to 22″ and the horsepower starts from 4,5hp up to 6hp. All of them are 2 in 1, but there is a premium model which is 3 in 1, which means that it could be a mulcher, a rear bagger or even a side discharger. This line is the only murray lawnmower with the high wheel option in the rear bagger line products by Murray.
Side discharge only
Not much difference between that line of lawnmowers. From 3.5hp to 4.5hp, and between 20″ cut for the lowest product this line up to 22″ cut.
